...any good?

A ridiculous price: http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3005#tab-reiter2

I guess the fork is a bit second rate but as a trial into 29er what can go wrong....?

I'm also looking at a "toe in the water" 29er and its difficult to nick the value on offer with Canyon. Heavy and potentially flexi fork and basic but reliable 10 speed transmission. I'm not a fan of Avid brakes but I'm sure they're upto the job. Heck, it even looks ok.

I've been looking at Genesis as I'm looking to use C2W but the Canyons look better value.

My thoughts exactly fandango, even on-one 29ers are more expensive.

For a toe in the water from new its not bad....
