Hi guys,
About to order a Canyon Strive and stuck between ordering a Medium or Large. I'm 180cm and just between medium and large on Canyons size guide.
Anyone here been in a similar position? What did you go for in the end?
Any advice from the Canyon riders out there?

Note, the top tube length is not right on the canyon website!!!
However the are still long bikes.
Also worth noting the seat tube on a large is 480mm not 460 as canyons website, just in case a dropper post makes it to big!

From looking through it I think i'd better going for the large.
I'm coming from a 2015 reign 2 size large which had a wheelbase of 1217.00 but felt perfect on the trails. The Canyon has a slightly shorter wheelbase, but a slightly longer reach and top tube.
Decisions decisions!
I'm 6'3" on a large and its ok. Not sure if I'd want to go bigger as it may feel too long for tight stuff.
Reach figures seem accurate but effective top tube measures about 630.
It feels slightly bigger than a large reign 2 I briefly rode a while back, prob similar to an xl new orange 5 I demo'd apart from a bit shorter in seat tube.
Large race at 184cm. It's definitely not too long. Sizing of bikes is now more about preference than matching to your body shape. Long = fast. Some people will use words like "chuckable" to explain why they think their undersized bike is better. I couldn't disagree more but it's all choice in the end, and that's a good thing.
TLDR; neither of them will be wrong. Just pick one.
Ended up pulling the trigger on a large. Now just to wait until December for it to arrive!

Is it a 2016 model, not that there's much difference.
FWIW Fabien Barel rides a Large Strive Race with 40mm stem and is 181cm tall.
Yep it's the 2016 model. Due to be posted the 12th of December.
I managed to find a guy locally who had a large one so had a quick spin on it and it felt right. I reckon if I had gone for the medium i'd have regretted it in the long run!
Any more updates on Strive Race sizing ?
I'm 181cm and right at the top end of the Medium Race, using PPS and increasing height to 181.5 changes the size to Large. With an inseam of 85-86cm Canyon are very clear I should have a Medium Race but so many posts point to a Large Race even though the PPS says Large is good for those > 6'3"
Cheers for advice - or even on a quick spin if anyone has one located around the Warrington/Chester area.
Or could take the easy choice .... Capra Large.
