I would normally always buy local but might be tempted by one of Canyon's new releases - are their aftersales any good, particulalry for ebikes (with the propensity for motors to pack in) ?

Their after sales seems to be very binary with little middle ground. I had a 'mare with them. I'm glad it wasn't a bike I bought.

Mixed experience for me, had a few little issues and received the odd free part that has been faulty/damaged.
Met the demo team etc at events and they don't really seem bothered in helping current customers.
I'd only buy another canyon if it was a good deal, my 2020 spectral has been well used but looked after, it creaks like nothing I've had before and I just can identify/solve it.
