Seem unable to thread new gear cable through the rear shifter. The shifter is in the highest position i.e. as if its on the smallest rear sprocket. The cable goes in a few mill then stops. Any suggestions?

No suggestions other than perseverance. I helped a mate build up his Force equipped bike, and it took ages to thread the cables.

I roll back the tape on the bars and tin the end of he cable, I seem to recall a plastic cover that can be removed to give you a better sight of the job

put a slight bend (with your fingers) in the last 1-2cm of the cable. Can help with it locating the hole!

^^ this

I spent hours trying get them in until I googled it and discovered I needed 1.1mm cables and not the standard 1.2mm. They went in first try with the 1.1 cables
