Presta Valve?

Could be you didn't tighten it all the way up and it leaks a bit of air.

Why can't you trace where the bubbles are coming from?

else: Give up now, go buy a new one. 😉

Fill the tube full of custard.

It makes it sooo much easier to spot the holes.

Base of valve stem ? Submerge the stem and give a wiggle.

Was the tube bought from classifieds in

Used, but very very good condition, don't think they have any marks or real signs of wear on them anywhere

Agree, they can hold air fine until you wiggle them about a bit.

My money's on a tiny thorn in your tyre, pressing on the tube only when it's installed and pumped up

I can clearly see the problem - there's only five patches on a tube clearly advertised as having 700 holes.... (sorry couldn't resist) 😆

so there's loads of bubbles but you can't find the hole?

Step away from the bike.........take it to Halfords and let the 'pros' take care of it 😉

^ lol

All I can see is bubbles. I only had half a bottle of wine last night so that can't be it? Oh well I'll give him some technical reason why he needs to buy a new one. He thinks I'm decent with bikes and don't want to shatter his illusion of me
