Oh yes please I'm thinking about popping over tomorrow for a little ride around the dog. Not sure if I should bother.

Not recent but rode what was open of the monkey trail (And some DH runs) on 2nd w/e of december and it rode very well. Maybe a little wet, but nothing given its december. I'd expect it'd be holding up well

Drove across it earlier. Plenty of folk riding. Looked very wet.

Did the 1st section today and was quite wet. Lots of puddles but no mud.

dog and monkey not too bad, usual standing water and standing trail mincers..off piste is wee bit "moist" to say the least, but it does make off camber roots on the secret uber steep techy bits jolly fun. ๐Ÿ˜€

Have been round today and as above there are puddles and standing water in the usual places but otherwise moist rather than muddy and (gasp) dry in some places.

Forecast is for heavy rain in the morning but brighter later

Forestry Commission web site says some is closed. Anything major that would spoil a day out?

Its a couple of km of the Monkey that's closed. Still worth a visit...its easy enough to redo Upper & Lower Cliff to make up for it and the last section of Tackeroo.

How's the chase looking after 4 days of no rain?

Cheers

Gave the dog a blast yesterday. Wish I hadn't bothered. It has dried to a sticky, heavy gloopy mess which just covered me and my bike and took all day today to clean.

It was very slow going.

Proper trails were fine last night but we are bad-ass locals.
Didnt touch Follow your Dad or Donkey but Im sure it will have slippery pebble sections and puddles with less water in them than last week.

I was there today for the first time in 6 months and can honestly say it's the best I've ever known it ride. Some new additions to the trail since I was there last and the trails appear to have dried out really really well after a very wet winter so far.

If it doesn't rain overnight they will be a real blast this weekend!

Yup it was orsum-tastic today mostly dry/moist, mild, SUNSHINE, quite a few people about.

If you squinted a bit it was almost Spring-like.

Followed the Dog today and it was surprisingly good. One section closed off and a couple of gloopy bits but basically being high on the ridge it's ok. Can't wait for tomorrow.
