[#1688711]

I'm planning a 2 day visit with a group of mates up to Cannock chase on the 26-27th of june which is the weekend of the last 16 in the world cup - so I need to find a pub that'll be showing footy and isn't too chavy ( this might be difficult i realise) 😀

prehaps i need to rephrase it - any pub showing the footy thats near one of the campsites on the chase will be fine, chavvy or not 😀

Try the Barley mow (Milford) failing that the Sports bar, though the Sports bar wouldn't be my first choice

Which campsite are you going to be using? Makes a bit of a difference.

If you're staying at the Wandon site (Camping & Caravaning club) near Stile Cop then the Chetwynd Arms in Upper Longdon is the best bet.

If you're at Springslade Lodge then the Barley Mow in Milford is closest but a bit of a plastic pub.

I'm still trying to firm up dates as its for a mate who's been working out in india for the past year and he's back for a few weeks to sort out his visa.
I've not camped on the chase before so don't really know which is the bet one to go for, do either of them have better security for the bikes overnight?
