I have to go to Shrewsbury tomorrow, but then have a 6hr wait, so thinking of taking bike and going to either one, did coed y about 6 yr ago, but never done Cannock chase, which would you chose and why, although Cannock is a little nearer to Shrewsbury?

Cannock Chase, Google says it's almost an hour closer, so you've got an extra 2 hours cycling time.

Otherwise CyB. But Cannock Chase is good as well.

Go to Eastridge and ride for 4 hours (its 20 mins away) .And then spend an hour in the pub.

Eastridge, Hopton, Bucknall or Long Mynd. I regularly drive past Cannock to get to that area for the riding!!

Shropshire Hills all day long. Might be swayed slightly as I'm a Cannock local but there's more steep fun stuff over there.

Eastridge is a bit of a mess right now I think due to forestry stuff going on. Doesn't stop you nipping to Hopton, there's a red route and DH runs. It's a fun place to ride and will save you fuel. The drive to Coed-Y-Brenin from there is slow going.

Llandegla isn't that far from there as another option
