Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows whether Cannock has been affected by the flooding nearby?
Thinking of heading there on Saturday but wont if its underwater!
Their website seems to be down too 🙁

Cheers

I was over there yesterday walking the dog and it was wet but all ok to ride i'd have thought. from past experience i'd just say youd hit a few puddles. just be careful with parking ect as they have concerts on this weekend

Due to the Forestry Commission Live Music Concerts, Birches Valley Visitors Centre Car Park will close early to members of the General Public on :

Friday 29th June – closes at 3.30pm
Saturday 30th June – closes at 3.30pm

The Car Park will re-open at 5.00pm for Concert Ticket Holders only. The upper car park will be closed all day on both the Friday and Saturday.

Follow the Dog and the Monkey trail will both be open as normal during this period. If you intend to be on the trail after 3pm on either Friday 29th or Saturday 30th June, alternative car parking will be available at Tackeroo Campsite.

Also from Monday 25th June to Wednesday 4th July, a large number of heavy vehicles will be using Birches Valley for Concert Site setup and take down so please take extra care during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any queries, please phone the Forestry Commission office on 01889 586593.

Don't go.......
-
The braking bumps will fill with water, they will become like a mini reservoir, you'll fall in and drown - that's how big they are

There was evidence of it having rained a lot, puddles and piles of sand and stones that had been washed down the fire roads but the Chase hasn't floated away.

Cheers all!
Spoke to the FC this afternoon after seeing the news on tv again and they said its still good to go.
I figure if its still ok for the Plan B gig to not be cancelled there, then its ok for us to go play in the mud.
Cant wait 🙂
