How many spacers do you have on the BB drive side ?

I have 1 and have just fitted a 34 front ring and the teeth are about 0.5 mm away from the chain stay ๐Ÿ˜

That's normal on a YS. I had a 32 and it was close - didn't prove to be a problem though. Move to outer position?

Hi Matt
I would move to the outer position but my chain keeper will constantly rub

I had to put 2 spacers on my n9 in the end, because the end of my driveside crank arm kept on hitting the extra wide stays .Solved the problem but it had already damaged the paint. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ Great frames Clink

One spacer. It was designed to have max of a 32T middle with very little clearance between chainstay plate/ring to prevent chainsuck by knocking the chain off the cog.

I am running a single ring on the front though and just changed from 32-34 ...It doesn't quite touch but is very close .
Think I'll try it for a while ....if its a problem I'll pop another spacer on the drive side

.
.
. What's the worst that can happen eh ๐Ÿ™‚

No spacer on my Yelli. Just a BB mounted stinger on the drive side.
XT crank and 32/22 rings with King BB.

Stu, hows your rig going ? Mine is going to be the same 32/22 Stinger set up, the Canfield guys suggested I shim out the BB on the opposite side to the Stinger to balance things up but I'm not totally sure if thats really required.

What ratio cassette are you running, I'm going with a standard 11/34 jobbie, atb Paul

Mine's more of a bike than a rig. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not sure why you'd want to do that. The stinger just replaces the BB spacer so everything is lined up as standard.

I've also got an 11/34 on ATM. But i am thinking of going 1x10 with an 11/36 as i can get the 2.4 ardent to rub the front mech when in granny ring.
