Looking at going to visit the brother in law this summer who lives just outside Toronto.
Was planning on getting a bit of off roading in whilst there, however the Mrs doesn't ride so getting over to Whistler side of the country will be awkward.
Anyone know of any trails around Toronto area? Will probably need hire as well, taking the bike might be a faff if im only looking at getting at best a couple of rides in.

I live in Toronto, and while I haven't got out very far, there is definitely riding around. When the snow and ice has gone, I'll be planning to get out more, and have some more pointers.

In no particular order:

TBN is the local biking umbrella group, and they have a mountain bike group - check out tbn.ca for group rides and ride reports of places they've been to.
Hardwood Hills is, I hear, quite technical with a fair amount to ride
...and of course the ski resorts should have some decent trails in summer, although I'm not certain. Check out Blue Mountain trails on google - it's only about 2 hours' drive from Toronto, and could make a good weekend.

Sorry I've not got a more ordered response, but if you drop me a line or post a thread nearer the time I can let you know, or even show you round any trails I've found by then.
