[#12800792]

I know they’re difficult to get hold of, anyone found one anywhere?

Enduro, Front, 27.5 flavour.

I might also want a 29er too.

Looks like the stock of everything but the front enduro is starting to come back into shops. Alpinetrek has loads now except for the one that you actually want

They’re available to buy direct from Continental UK

The link on Conti's website is misleading - redirects you to Cambrian Tyres where... it's out of stock.

They may turn up with the DH ones which have been delayed until June at zyrofisher!

Had a rear sat there waiting for over a month.

They may be good but they are a bit rubbish with stock

Cambrian are the distributor. When things appear on their site, they'll be at retailers in a few weeks. That's what I told me when I asked some time ago.

Supply of these has been awful since they were released.  I'm giving up on them, as can't find replacements for the F&R Enduro casing ones I got last time.  They're really nice tyres, but getting used to them, then not being able to replace them is a PITA.

In short, no.

I placed an order for the 29x2.4” in the enduro casing at the start of February (being told 2 weeks lead time) this has now been pushed to mid May

Cambrian have the 29 , but £72.95 seems a bit steep

I have considered this, I’ve heard a few people running them.

£72.95 for a bicycle tyre 🤯

Yeah I don’t want one that much I don’t think!

I’ve filled in a couple of stock notifications so maybe they’ll start to be available soon. Hopefully cheaper, I’m sure my rear was under £50.

They were £40-£50 initially, it's just scalping while stock's limited

My friend got a couple for free, all you have to do is ask nicely at Atherton bikes….. oh and spend 4.5k on a frame 😬

In other news tho, the athertons like to run a front tyre on both front and rear, reckon it’s the better combo

Bit drastic! I bet they don't have 27.5 anyway...

I've heard a few comments the same, might give it a try.

Pinkbike Racing started that idea. Front tyre on the rear if you like a smoother transition onto the edge. Rear on the front for mud as it clears better apparently.

I'm on the hunt for a Front SuperSoft DH casing which also seem to be sold out everywhere. Has anyone seen one in stock by any chance?

Heads up that r2 have them in stock this morning for about £56 delivered to the uk. I had a stock alert set up so got lucky, it seems they have more available.

DH casing, front, 29x2.4, super soft.

I just went with the trail version off CRC a few days ago, can't see there being a mega difference for what I mostly ride and should last years if previous conti tyres I've had are anything to go by.

The endurance casings roll fast and plenty strong. I used two at Dyfi in the wet and never wiped out once. If I was on my usual DHF/DHR2 I would be on my arse down the original DH lower.

I've been on the trail ones for 6 months.

Great tyres and pretty tough. Probably site between maxxis exo+ and DD

It’s not the casing I’m worried about, it’s the softness I want.

A trail casing with soft rubber would probably suit a lot of us.

Somewhere in I think this podcast episode they say that they're using a trail casing supersoft compound and that it's coming "soon", for whatever that's worth.

just a bump - has anyone seen a Front Soft Enduro Kryptotal anywhere in stock 29er? not full RRP at ludicrous 74.99?

yeah sadly no longer viable to post from r2 bike - gutted as this was my goto place for tyres

need to order a minimum of £165 now and then you'd get customs charged too - bad times for random tyre testing sadly 🙁

Seems to be a common theme with tyres at the moment, been struggling to find anything by Schwalbe in a 29 x 2.6 Addix super soft

Aren't there some post-brexit issues with both those sites now?

I finally got one from Bikeinn last month,

£116 for two of them, delivered.

having been on the lookout since last summer (when I ordered a front from them but couldn't find the rears. Bought a rear in the spring only to find out the Bikeinn had sent me a rear last year, and not the front I ordered). They got it right this time.

Only a few rides in but really liking them so far.

I got a front 29er from Bikeinn https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/continental-kryptotal-enduro-29-tubeless-front-mtb-tyre/139652459/p?utm_source=parcellab&utm_medium=email&utm_content=any&utm_campaign=any

and then put a rear 27.5 on the front of my other bike. Hopefully at some point I’ll find a front 27.5 and then move the rear on to the right end. I doubt I’ll even notice any difference though.
