Was looking at a recent Giant Trance in a shop with 142mm rear axle . To the naked eye the only difference between my 2013 model with 135mm axle was the shape of the removable drop out. Any body know if such a dropout swopout is possible?
Needless to say the child serving in the shop had no idea!

The main difference between 135 and 142 is a 3.5mm slot in each dropout
