[Closed] Can x-loc be removed from Rockshox SID's?

Not sure how much use I'll make of the x-loc remote on my new forks. Can it be removed without getting additional bits whilst keeping the fork unlocked? A quick google suggests I can replace with the RTC3 damper but i'd be happy with it in the unlocked position permanently saving me from buying new bits and tidying up the handlebars from clutter
