The course for the event I'm doing on Sunday (hell of the west) has been published on Garmin Connect, but I don't have a Garmin device and it doesn't seem possible to download from there as a file.
Apparently you need a Garmin to send it to and then you can save from there? (seems pretty silly to me)
Could a kind hearted soul do this for me and send me the gpx file?

Lordy, its not easy. I can't get the file even when its on the garmin.
I'm pretty sure all you need is a garmin connect account (easy to set up), then you can export any routes as a gpx file. At least that's what I've done in the past.
I'd download it for you if I was on a proper computer.
