I don't think Superstar kits have the new long calliper banjo bolt available yet.

can I not just use my current banjo bolt?

Yeah you can use the superstar hoses but you need to use the original shimano calliper banjo as Mister P said, the superstar kit doesn't have the correct one. Rest of the bits are fine though in the fitting kit. It's Kit 2.
