hello just wondered if i use a shimano or any other brand hose in my juicy 5s as the one i have at present is a bit short? cheers
i wouldn't use shimano ormagura as they sue mineraloil as opposed to dot fluid that avid use
Clarks kits work well, also a lot cheaper than Avid.
cheers guys thanks very much. i'll have a look at the clarks ๐
another question, i can see why you should stick to the correct oil with regards to the caliper and its seals but surely the inside of the hose should be fine to use with either mineral or dot fluid. reason i'm asking is i have a length of shimano hose somewhere which might be long enough to do the job.

While I'd happily use a hose for DOT with mineral, not sure I'd do the same the other way around...
Invest in a Goodrich kit if you can, they massively improved a set of Formula K24's that I was contemplating upgrading. Huge difference in power and feel.
Was kind of forced into it after discovering the price of the formula shortening kit compered to the complete Goodrich kit.
Have since fitted them to all the bikes with similar results.
