I believe that the lower bearings should be open on 1 side to allow grease to flow through from the zerk injection port. Can I use 7902 2RS MAX (Enduro) Frame Pivot Bearing instead? Will any grease make it through that inner seal?

Pull the seal out on the side that will take the grease.👍

True, but you'd need to remove both bearing seals from each bearing as this type of linkage forces grease through from a central grease port, and it would just force off the outer seals anyway. The proper bearings have metal shields in place of the seals to keep larger lumps of contaminant out (and it's amazing what crap can get through the outer shields to find its way into the bearings!)

Honestly, for the cost vs effort, I'd just put the right bearings in instead. You want 7902-1Z (1 metal shield, on the outside only) and should cost not much more than a fiver each. You want the max load version too - good for linkages!
