i have some 1"1/8 steerer forks at the moment but want to change to 1.5" tapered steerer fork on my nukeproof mega frame. anyone know if i can modify my Nukeproof warhead headset without having to press the cups out? i.e just change the bottom bearing and crown race?

Internal or external bottom cup currently?

I'm not sure, doubt it, but would recommend the Hope mix and match lower cup only, about £25 from Merlin.

Are your current cups internal or external to your head tube?

you will need the lower cup to look like the one in the link below or it will not work.

mind you lookin at that link rusty there is a chamfer on the lower cup so its possibly a larger diameter cup than the headset for a straight 1" 1/8 steerer

If external is your current crown race a large plate like piece?
If so then all you should need to is replace the crown race with a 1.5 race. Contact CRC and see if you can buy the correct crown race.

Can you post a pic of your current setup? it'll make life alot easier!
