yes inner chain dimension is the same for 9 and 10 speed chains.

Cool. So I can run a 2 x 10-speed set-up by buying a 10-speed cassette, 10-speed chain, 10-speed shifter, but running an unused 9-speed SLX double? No issues with shifting or anything? And what about the front mech - can I get away with my old 9-speed there? Ta again.
