I need new hubs for my mtb and would quite like pink ones to match the colour of my chris king head set. But I dont want a noisy free wheel

I'm not sure if it's just me but I hate the noise of hope etc when free wheeling - any ideas?

Get over the noise if you want coloured ones. The noise is the sound of well engaging pawls so generally a good thing. People have done some quiet mods.

I have used some, had to borrow a pair of wheels once to do a 130 mile ride, really couldnt get used to it. Are there really no quiet options -apart from modifications?

No noise if you don't stop pedalling 😉
Good training tool is that!

Yes and I pedalled virtually all of those 130 miles, but really do like nothing but the noise of wind when whizzing down hill

Is that just me?

Send a pair of Shimano hubs away for anodising. Propbably cost you £30. Steve at Acorn confirmed he could do some for me. (But in red).
