I'm contemplating using a HRM with my Galaxy S3 phone, possibly with Strava. Any recommendations or warnings??

Thanks.

Garmin hrms are cheap enough to negate the faff of using the phone.
Think about wether you want primarily a training aid or navigation + hrm.
Either way I'd go Garmin

the topeak panobike BT 4.0 speed and cadence sensor is pretty good and well priced. i'd imagine the HRM is ok too.

Got a Polar H6 for use with my i-phone about a month ago from sweatband sports. Works well.

Thanks all.

H6 looks good, but I believe there have been issues with Bluetooth 4.0 on the Galaxy S3 and possibly other Android devices.

Surprising how many Strava users there are and yet "no-one" seems to be using an HRM.
