Just for the record I think it is terrible that people who have paid money have been treated, allegedly, unfairly, and been kept waiting.
After having said that, could someone explain what Mint Sauce is, and why it has such a following that grown adults are keen to have a keyring.
Is it a comic, or was it a strip that was in another comic? Are there any examples on line? Just curious really. I am sure I remember maybe years ago someone posting a mint sauce single picture, which I didn't get, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes.
I hope everyone gets everything sorted though.

It is the comic strip in MBUK. Normally there is an online archive at www.thisiswhy.co.uk but for some reason it's playing the silly arse today & I can't get it to open.

(IIRC) It was a back-page cartoon in one or more UK mags back in the day, and as such has a special place in certain mtbers' hearts.
I was never a fan myself. This thread is way better! Even better than a JoB "Trail Centres are for tools" or "You don't want disc brakes on a road bike" thread!!!
what are you all going to do with them? ebay calling? guess you could chance it with a refund request....this keyring would annoy me every time i saw it.

Leave the man alone he's busy! You lot giving him money for his trinkets has inconvenienced him enough. Surely you don't expect him to post them as well?
Shoddy.
If that e-mail is true it would have cost him his job in the real World.
I guess not - too many people agreed?
edit: wrong forum LOL
Th items cost between £50 and £70 and around 30 were commissioned.
And I was accused of earning too much, between £50 and £70 for a keyring 😯 blinking heck!
They are not key rings
I know a guy that got behind with manufacturing some parts owed (a cnc machinist) - He 'slept' overnight at work so he could get everything finished in good time for waiting customers.
Im sure he can spare some afternoon, early morning or even night-time hours?
As said - in the real world he would be out on his arse, poor show, afraid of real work or is a few hrs on a computer so tiring?
I wonder how the damp patch got there?

Hey Martin
Nick says "Hi" back. "Hope you're well"....telling her mate all about it as I type. Incidentally that young man is a rather nice young man and is doing very well for himself. His mum would have been proud.
There's happy and sad tears now.
I'm in two minds as to whether I actually want this anymore, this whole experience has tainted the whole mint sauce thing for me,
it must be terrible when you finally get to meet your hero and he turns out to be a bit of a nob.
Has anyone got these keyrings yet?
We are NOT waiting for keyrings!! The items are pendants ear rings and other stuff. But NO keyrings.
But no nothing has arrived yet.
Ahh, so that is why no-one has received their keyrings yet then.
Is it true the Brighton and Hove resistance is currently hiding JoB and the Nazis want to loot the [s]keyrings[/s]jewellery? 😮

Yes the Jo Burt diaries will be serialised in forthcoming editions of Singletrack.
Why would you pay for a keyring when MBUK were giving them away for free?
I've got one going spare.
Hey Gary if you have one spare I'd have it, I broke mine 🙁
Why would you pay for a keyring when MBUK were giving them away for free?
Because you are a sad wannabe?
Personally I hope he's pissed their cash up the wall
You rebel clowns are real bunch of joyless heartless prats eh?
Being a member of the clandestine insurgent rebel clown army must be all laughs.

I've got mine.
Has nobody thought of reporting this theft to the police yet?

To embarassing surely.
This is a classic thread. I still have no idea what it's about but it's a great read.
About sheep keyrings apparently.
Is there a slight irony in all of this I ask myself, in that many STWorlder's are colluding in the theft of trademarks, or in the production of counterfeit goods, and yet they themselves are victims of a crime of their own making? 🙂
Richmars - I think they feel that they've been fleeced somewhere.
are colluding in the theft of trademarks, or in the production of counterfeit goods
Eh? How so?
EDIT: The deal does appear to have gone baa'd 😀
I will readily admit that I pretty much know nothing about mint sauce. I assume that the chap who has done a runner with all the dosh but who said he would produce the goods is in fact the owner of the Mint Sauce trademark, or is the owner of the image rights or whatever the legal thingy is called?
I think this guy has pulled the wool over your eyes. 😀
Google is all you need Simon.

Your missing out. It's just lovely on a lamb chop.
