I'm going to have one made. My friend is a silversmith so a group buy could be possible if anyone's interested.

I got a minty you can borrow for the job (we are talking about the metal maditating mint sauce given away with mbuk around a hundred years ago?)
email me your address.

how much do you reckon a silver one would cost? that would be great!

I would be interested if you could give some idea of how much it'll cost. I've had a few I used as necklaces but the metal was too soft, the hoop gave way and i lost them.

Mine was nicked. I still miss him and would be interested in a group remake, preferably in steel

A forum user wants fans to get hold of a nice keepsake for no profit.

JoB wants to earn money, its a tough call, but one seems mercenary to me.

the OP quite rightly later though about the IPR issue and asked the rights holder who had reasonable issues, after all its his work and his income and suggests a compromise where we get a badge and he makes money and stimulates economic growth in the jewellery sector....

What is more galling when Cove told Geoff Moorhouse to desist making nice pewter headbadges to replace their flakey stickers and failed to offer an alternative...

How is it a tough call?
Someone has been working on something for years (Mint Sauce) and is offering something original for sale has asked that copies of something he didn't want in the first place are not made.
And in total fairness to the OP he has agreed and probably wants one of JoB's new offerings.

Hi Jo
What about getting Kidrobot to do a run of figures like they did with the Gorillaz?

A Porsche specialist complaining about someone making their living... I wonder if he's in it for the good of humanity?

I think it's a good idea. Count me in Jo.

A mans work is his work and I just fancied a key ring but if Jo has a better idea I'm all for it as I've told him!

Had one of the originals too but is snapped and I lost it. I'd be interested if you start a project for them Jo.

I reckon it'll take more than a week for him to sort and get a definite answer.

quick update, the jeweller has replied, and she's keen, we need to crunch numbers and discuss various arty-bollocksy things and then i'll get back individually to each of the surprising number of people that have expressed an interest in this, i thank you all

I'm mighty tempted but not sure what price range we're looking at here.
my original was broke so sent it back to mbuk asking if they had any spare.
oh. how naive...
