I'm going to have one made. My friend is a silversmith so a group buy could be possible if anyone's interested.
I got a minty you can borrow for the job (we are talking about the metal maditating mint sauce given away with mbuk around a hundred years ago?)
email me your address.
how much do you reckon a silver one would cost? that would be great!
I would be interested if you could give some idea of how much it'll cost. I've had a few I used as necklaces but the metal was too soft, the hoop gave way and i lost them.
intrest here
I reckon I better mail Jo Burt on this if I'm having a few done.
id be interested in one too ๐ broke my old one ;-(
Mine was nicked. I still miss him and would be interested in a group remake, preferably in steel
I will put it to Stewart and see what he says. It will be silver though.
J
Another interested person here.
I have one of these, its currently in a "safe place" wherever the hell that is
i'd rather you didn't to be honest, without going into details i was totally against these in the first place ๐
if someone wanted a totally new, different and very limited piece of Mint jewellry would there be interest?
if someone wanted a totally new, different and very limited piece of Mint jewellry would there be interest?
Oh yes
YES i would be interested
interest here!
JoB - Yep, interest here too
righto, i'll punt the idea to my favourite jeweller then
i'm a yes too, both to original suggestion but now to the even more interesting offer from the man himself!
ditto
Obviously will repect your copyright.
Would be interested in something for sure and much happier coming from you than nicking something!
anyone that's interested mail me and i'll get back to you direct once i've made enquiries, the more that mail interest the more likely it is it will happen ๐

Hi Jo
Have emailed you about this, will probably want a couple.
Cheers
Graham
ditto, emailed also 3 for me if it happens
Hi Jo,
Am interested and will send e-mail.
Any chance of including Mints' mates in this exclusive offer?
Cheers.
OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH sounds shiney!
yeah yeah yeah me too sounds a far better proposition than a maplin headlight kit and look I got my name in on the first page ahead of post 999... wil lthere be a pewter headtube option Jo ... ps tom sillis was asking after you nicely.. did he find you
A forum user wants fans to get hold of a nice keepsake for no profit.
JoB wants to earn money, its a tough call, but one seems mercenary to me.
the OP quite rightly later though about the IPR issue and asked the rights holder who had reasonable issues, after all its his work and his income and suggests a compromise where we get a badge and he makes money and stimulates economic growth in the jewellery sector....
What is more galling when Cove told Geoff Moorhouse to desist making nice pewter headbadges to replace their flakey stickers and failed to offer an alternative...
How is it a tough call?
Someone has been working on something for years (Mint Sauce) and is offering something original for sale has asked that copies of something he didn't want in the first place are not made.
And in total fairness to the OP he has agreed and probably wants one of JoB's new offerings.
JoB - Yes, will drop you an email!
Mint Cauce cuff links are where it's at dudes, make it so.
shiny minty things? mmmmmm
Hi Jo
What about getting Kidrobot to do a run of figures like they did with the Gorillaz?
cuff links! Now there's a winning idea.
I haven't got anything with cuffs. Never mind linking them together O_o
A Porsche specialist complaining about someone making their living... I wonder if he's in it for the good of humanity?
I think it's a good idea. Count me in Jo.
A mans work is his work and I just fancied a key ring but if Jo has a better idea I'm all for it as I've told him!
emailed, sounds good...
Although not interested in cufflinks, never wear shirts... ๐
Ooh yes please! That sounds great. Will send e-mail.
Any news on this one?
Not heard anything yet.
Had one of the originals too but is snapped and I lost it. I'd be interested if you start a project for them Jo.
I reckon it'll take more than a week for him to sort and get a definite answer.
quick update, the jeweller has replied, and she's keen, we need to crunch numbers and discuss various arty-bollocksy things and then i'll get back individually to each of the surprising number of people that have expressed an interest in this, i thank you all
How did I miss this thread!?
Jo, expect an email.
I'm mighty tempted but not sure what price range we're looking at here.
my original was broke so sent it back to mbuk asking if they had any spare.
oh. how naive...
email also sent!
