this thing i think came home with me from cannock, its around 1 cm in size, it kept going after the blood from a cut on my leg- i thought it was a fly at first and kept shooing it off, it repeatedly came back untill in the end i managed to swat it but it was one tough bleeder, i have googled everything i can think off but have come up with nothing;.
sure its probably not a rare insect but ive never seen one before and just wondered if any one could put a name to it?

Looks to me like a Flat fly or more commonly known as Keds or louse flies.

it does resemble a ked fly more than anything else ive seen but doesnt look quite the same but could be that type of thing
