Just wondering if a carbon post can be too flexible for a frame?

I've got an Easton EC70 in my carbon HT, it is pretty easy to flex the post. There's a good 150mm of post in the frame below the seat collar. Is there a risk of damage to the frame?

I'm not exactly heavy at 80kg all in btw.

IME no.

A 27.2 I-Beam carbon post in my Ti frame was wonderfully comfortable and no trouble at all - except when I couldn't get it out without the assistance of a hacksaw and chisel...

Same as mine. Steel frame so I can't imagine the flex doing any harm. And there is a huge increase in comfort.

I'd imagine it would be too flexible if it shattered and disemboweled you but I'm sure that never happens.

The carbon post I had on my pace was noticeable flexible and bouncy. After years of this it eventually did snap. Was part of a bad batch though and was replaced foc. For those worrying about carbon snapping, it snapped clean off at the top of the frame like it had been neatly sawed. No anal shards.
