[#9847944]

I snapped my canti Crux frame recently and have been lucky enough to have it replaced under warranty. Only problem of course is that the new frame is disk only. So while I now have four pairs of wheels I can no longer use I at least hoped to continue to use the Campy groupset and just get some mechanical disk brakes (trp spyres maybe). But I've been told they won't work together well, no feeling of bite point and all a bit squishey. Has anyone any ideas, bodge or otherwise, that will help?

I used BB5 road brakes with 10 speed campag centaur levers with no problems at all - felt just add nice as with any others.

My 10 speed campag ergos work fine with avid bb7s.

Cheapest way to sort a wheel is to swap the hub out to a shimano disk hub and use an ambrosio 12 to 28 shimano spline, campag spaced cassette unless it’s a thru axle or something new fangled

There was one team running campag at Valkenberg

Been using BB7s on my Mason with Chorus 11 lever/shifters. They work, and I thought they worked well until I tried some SRAM hydraulics. Despite having only ever used Campag on the road I think that my groupset might be on the market soon. The avoids do feel a bit spongey and adjustment can be temperamental but if you hit a sweet spot they’re OK. I think that the cable pull on Campag is different to Shimano so the actuator arm on the Avids isn’t quite the right length.
Had a Hope X-type converter lined up to see how that went but think that it looks a bit cumbersome.

BB7s work as well with Campag as SRAM levers in my opinion. Used everything from early Record 8 speed Ergos to modern 11's.
