Thinking ahead now to Easter and looking to get up to Dumfries and Galloway for a few days. Weather permitting of course, would prefer to camp rather than B&B.
I've googled and there seem to be a few, but looking for recommendations.
Nothing fancy needed, just a decent loo/shower block.
Ta muchly.

good campsite near dalbeatie its next to the trail between rockcliffe & kipford, its about 40 mins from dumfries and 40 mins to kirroughtree.
Lots of sites at Sandyhills, Kippford etc.
Is Glentrool no longer open for camping? Used to be OK, but over-run with the midge later in the year.
Auchenlarie caravan park is 5 mins from kirroughtree trail head but your more west and further from the rest of the Stanes.
Kippford Holiday park here, right opposite Dalbeattie and the only stane a distance away is Glentress which was a 2 hr drive, Think it was £50 to pitch for the week could be wrong on that
I use Castle Cary Campsite. It is a caravan park, but has good camping facilities. Has a nice little pub on site and also has a heated outdoor pool!
