[#4523269]

Bought a Centaur groupset for my winter bike, a Tifosi CK7 Audax. There was no option to buy deep drop brakes but it's looking like they're not deep enough by 1-2mm...
Specs that I can find are: 40-50mm for the Centaur and the brakes that used to be on there say 41-57mm drop which suggests the Centaur just aren't deep enough.

Anyone else got Centaur on a bike with mudguards?

Yes. But the frame and forks were built for me specifically to run standard brakes with Salmon guards.

Ok, thanks.
Wouldn't be a bad idea for the seller to mention this on the website would it!?

As djg says, use Tektro or Shimano. I selected Tektro as I didn't want to mix Campag & Shimano;-)

What, the fact the brakes might not fit on your frame you had seperately, or that the frame won't fit a particular make of brake?

If you want to pretent the brakes are Italian but really Tektros under the sticker try these Condor Pioggia ones.

Or, if its really just 1-2mm why not just file down the openings slightly.
Worked for me, and you can keep a full Centaur groupset.

BTW, my suggestion does not mean I'm accepting liability in terms of any accident incurred.

I ran those Grud Road Racer mudguards a while back on my old carbon race bike that had chorus calipers. Worked fine, just a little bit faffy to install.
