no.
you can get certain parts to work together but it's a bit of a minefield. CTC have a page on it IIRC.

Just the front shifter is cross compatible.

and even then it isn't that simple as things like indexing, micro-indexing etc don't always help.

yes.
And micro-indexing works with every front mech.

Qualified yes. Only for post or pre 99/2000 groupsets.
