OK undone the bolt, removed non drve side, how do i remove drive side, does the clipneed to come off on the bb cups beofre or jsut a gentle tap with rubber mallet. how does the clip remove if needs be?

Pretty sure you have to take the clip out and then the drive side will slide out. That's how I assembled them.

The sole function of that clip is to keep the drive side in so that definitely needs to come out to take it out !
