Is there anyone out there that knows of an effective way of getting a rear hub running campag (9spd) with a disc brake? My rear dropouts are 135mm so no problem there...

I am currently running ornamental cantilevers, but with all the attachments for a disc, it would seem rude not to, but i am worried that the cost will be prohibitive.

Cheers

Just change the free hub for a campagnolo fitting.

Campag freehubs for disc hubs aren't very common IME. That will change as discs start to appear on road/CX bikes.

You can get away with running a 9 speed Shimano cassette on a campag 9 speed setup meaning that you could use a Shimano freehub hub - it's not perfect but good enough unless you're picky (set it up so that the middle sprocket is perfectly aligned)

Otherwise, if you had 10 speed ergos, you can run perfectly with a Shimano mech and 9 speed cassette using the hubbub method:

I run Campag shifters with Shimano everything else on my disc'd CX with the hubbub setup

i believe that Hope, DT, Mavic all make hubs that you can swap the freehub from shimano to Campag and have disc mounts.

The campag spaced shimano splines cassettes are gash, don't bother. Hope hub with Campag freehub. Sounds lovely as you freewheel behind someone in a cross race.

Here you go:

I'm currently running the road (i.e. 130mm non-disc versions which seem fine)
