does any body know of camp sites in les deux alps that are close to the uplifts,have been checking out camp sites there but have no clue as to how close or how far out they are to the lifts.
There is a wicked campsite at Venosc, which is on the other side of the mountain. There is a cable car that takes bikes (no extra cost) right up to Les Deux Alpes and the red, wicked, long, flowy, bermy, steep route takes you from Les Deux Alpes straight back to the bottom of the same cable and about 1 min to campsite.

Stayed there last year, rode as many of the trails I could find and didn't drive once. There's even an XC route to Bourg D'Oisson along the river if you fancied it
Camping La Cascade and another site in Venosc, less than 5 mins ride from the lift (and not actually in the resort itself which was a bonus for us). Lovely spot.
And near to the local via ferrata if you fancy a different method of getting up to the Deux Alps without bikes.
Bourg D'Oisans otherwise, but a longer trip up each day. Dont think there is a site in the resort itself, though might be a hard standing area for camper vans near the heliport (but I might be confusing this with Alps D'Huez)

There is some hard standing for campers on the right hand side of town (as you look up the mountain) but as it wasn't an official Aire, I'm guessing you'd get moved on each day. Must check out Camping La Cascade......as he reaches for the mouse.... 😛

And yes, that red descent to Venosc is very good, but you'll be tired at the end of the day and it's a 800m drop...
thanks ,sounds good will check that resort. also making are way to zermatt ,do you know of any decent camp sites there aswell?
