Anyone any experience with the canon eos m mirror less camera?
Brother in law has one, pretty much set up as a point and shoot, his pics from our last holiday where great compared to my old Panasonic lumix.
I can buy the camera with 18-55, 22 lens & flash for around £250 which I'm very tempted with
Main thing would be for holiday snaps but I'd lake to use it for some mtb pics so if anyone uses one for action pics I'd like to see some sample pics?
Any ino would be great
Camera guro's what?
No Guro, but used one - It's a while since I played with one though.
Standout then was moderately slow/frustrating AF, which may be a concern for the action shots you mention.
It's been out a while - firmware may have improved AF.
I struggle to think of a compact big sensor alternative with lenses for 250 though.. 4-500 maybe
If your happy with size and handling - try it out and enjoy the value?
Get one, ive got a 5d and now this aa well. They all say the focus is slow but I think its fine, certainly ok for whar you want although fast action might be an issue. Image quality is top notch, the lens is good for a kit lens. Make sure you download Canon Digital Photo Professional, you can fix lens distortion etc. I've got the kit you describe, its a bargain. You can also buy an adapter to fit any canon lens you want and the new EOS M 3, hopefully means more lenses are in the pipeline. I'm very happy with mine, if you shop around you might get it cheaper, check Argos.
It's the worst mirrorless camera ever made. That's relative though, but it needs to be a lot cheaper.
Argos of all places have it at £199 with 18-55 and flash (no 22)
Seems a good price for it....
Anything else anyone would recommend in the £2-300 price bracket?
Ricoh GR has been seen at 325 sometimes on Amazon - great camera, but just a fixed (excellent) 28mm equiv lens. Smallest APSC, great handling.
Spend a little bit more and you may find a 2ndhand OMD10 w/ 14-42 on Ebay?
Can't think of another obvious - Maybe Sony Axxxx kit?
You may find the *earlier* generation Sony Rx100 around that price? Small and nice. Handling can be a bit fiddly though.
AF and F may be a compromise for all these though.. You can work with it though..
edit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Cybershot-DSC-RX100-Digital-Optical-Black/dp/B008CNMZDW ebay may have some cheaper..
