Hello all. I have a carbon HT race frame with two bottle cage mounts. The one on the seattube holds the bottle a little too close to the downtube, if that makes sense. I was unaware of this until cleaning the bike up after Keilder when I discovered that several hours of the bottle rubbing the grit into the carbon had worn a hole in it, thus: [IMG[IMGIt's only a little hole and there was obvioulsy no impact damage so I'm sure surrounding areas wll be fine. I doubt very much it would be a warrenty job as I think that counts as wear and tear. So, what can I do about it? Anyone mended anything similar? My main concern is to stop it getting any worse and becoming a weak point resluting in frame snappage, I'm not really fussed about cosmetics. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers, Andy H

I have a carbon road frame that had the front wheel axle vibrating against it in transport wear/smash a hole through it. The repair cost about 80 quid and its about 10 times the size of that!

Once that hole gets a bit of epoxy/hardener in it.. I reckon it would be fine for life. Forget spending money on kits with woven sheets and just get the epoxy etc.

Make sure it doesn't get wet as that will really cause problems.
