Heard Mosedale sucks.
Is the Long Sleddale (bridleway or road) then Borrowdale way better?
Any other recommendations or trails to avoid through this middle section (to Richmond)?

our 2nd day was:
Troutbeck, The Rake, Thornthwaite Beacon, High Street, Alston, Dufton, High Cup Nick, Langden Beck. Quite spectacular 🙂

Mosesdale = two hours carrying bikes wading through bog. I'll leave you to work out the merits of EVERY alternative being better than that!

ok Mosedale is defo out then.
Thanks Simon, does look like some good trails. Hadn't thought about going up that'a'way. Might be a bit too indirect for us though.
