[#4838358]

Okay, so I'm looking for a Reba, RL or RLT. Merlin has really nice offers, and bike-discount has good regular prices, but none of them offers a fork that ticks all my boxes at the moment.

I need: Standard steerer, 15mm maxle (20mm would be fine but doesn't exist?), crown lockout, capable of 120mm travel, black colour

I'd prefer (but am willing to make exceptions): Solo air, 120mm travel when delivered

Any other places worth checking out that might offer this?

And yes I know I'm a bit daft not to make exceptions on colour (this would already be solved if I did) but white forks on a black frame just doesn't do it for me.

Have you thought of getting a Revelation instead?
I needed pretty much what you do, same steerer, 15mm, crown lockout, 120mm etc and in the end I decided to just get a Rev and space it down to 120mm. This gives me the advantage of the fork being usable on a more varied selection of frames in the future
The only problem was that I dithered over it and all the crow lockout models were gone, so I've got Poploc instead. I can buy the crown lever and do a quick conversion, then sell the Poploc lever to cover the cost. No biggie really.
Yeah, there's some faffage involved but it's simple stuff and better than paying more money

Just a thought 🙂

I didn't realize you could space Revs down to 120mm - I'll certainly consider it then. Thanks!

Can't find Revs fitting the bill either unfortunately, so I'd still like to know of some other places to look.

I might just get some Reba RL with poploc and eventually swap out the MoCo unit otherwise, I suppose.

You'll need the 2012 or earlier to get the dual air ones that you can space doen, the 2013 soloa ir ones need the air spring assembly to be repalced to reduce the travel.

I'd get them and deal with the remote http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/frame-forks/forks-shocks/rockshox-suspension-forks/rockshox-reba-rl-forks-2013.html I wouldn't get a Rev, sure you can space them to 130mm, but now you are carrying excess weight for no reason and using a fork with more travel than your bike is designed for

@svalgis I have a pair of '12s exactly as you describe except they are dual air. They had a couple of months use but have since been boxed. Mail in profile if you want to discuss.

Mine are like this: http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/frame-forks/forks-shocks/rockshox-suspension-forks/2012-rockshox-reba-rlt-forks.html

(Eeek they're a hundred quid cheaper new than when I bought them)!

The 2012 Reba RLT are now available in black, 120mm travel and crown lockout from Merlin in case anyone else is interested. Only one left after my purchase 🙂

I got them for a whooping £270 with free shipping to Sweden. Dual air (all 2012 seem to be?), but that's not really an issue once they're set up (most people would probably prefer it).

Excited!

Reba RLs for 260€ from one of my favourite shops

They also have SIDs for 299, but I don't know what shipping would be.
