Hi,
I have been looking at front derailleurs for my new build and have come to a spot of bother. I'm probably being stupid but how do you tell what is a 2x10 derailleur and what is a 3x10 derailleur? This is what I have been looking at.

Also, just to check, dual pull means you can attach a cable to it either from the top or bottom doesn't it?
Cheers
You do get 2x10 specific ones but you can just adjust the limit screws on a 3x10 front mech, also means if you change back to a 3 ring setup you can use the same mech.
I have a spare 2011 XT M771 dual pull 34.9 diameter 10 speed front mech in my garage (done about 25 miles). Looking for £20 posted if it would suit. Looks similar to the one in your link but is a conventional mount type, where the band sits higher up which I needed for my carbon frame.
Dual pull does mean you can attach the cable from top or bottom.
