I found a frame at Jenson USA for a pretty good price including shipping, has anyone else bought a large item from the US lately? Whats the duty like? And is there anywhere I can find out how much itll cost me?

Cheers

I bought a frame and fork this time last year for $1780 and paid £113 for VAT/Fees/Duty and £56 postage..

Having said that my chap was most accomodating and put a lower price on the package (not stupidly low, just enough to cover his costs should it have gone walkies).

which is something that Jenson won't do.

If the frame origin is Taiwan (amongst other places) then it is 4.7% duty iirc plus VAT and handling charge

Doesn't matter now, Jenson or rather Intense won't allow Jenson to ship to the UK anyway 🙁

You could use one of the firms that circumnavigate that?

eg http://www.mailforwarding.biz/
