I really want to pick up a Transition Vanquish before all the frames disappear, A gravel bike would be best suited for my local riding really but didn't really get on with the last one I had. I think a Vanquish built up light with fast rolling tyres would be a good alternative.

I’ve been nursing a gravel/adventure itch for a while now.

I did consider an escapade but cost and that the mercury frameset is now sold out it doesn’t appeal...

I keep looking at the Sonder Camino GRX but keep wondering about the wheels... website says they can do custom builds, hmm. There’s the Ti option too, but en again, heading to double cost...

And the Arkose D3, currently discounted (but 700C)... but 2x and nicer (to me) looking wheels...

Just as well I’m not finished work for the year and sitting at home looking up the respective websites then... 🤪

Is this dream time? Have normally bought used bikes (or mid range new) that are steel and practical, so howabout a carbon softail ‘gravel plus’ bike? That’s about £1k per kg in daft money. But it would force me to lose weight (and ditch these hiking socks) much faster than an ebike would. Or would it? Hmmm....🧐

Niner Air 9 RDO would be nice.

Money no object, Hope HB130 or the new Pace Carbon (bit of a bargain that frame).

Ideally though, I'd just get a hard tail next for more capable slop. I've got 2 road bikes, a fixed gear road bike, retro 90's no suspension MTB and a FS trail bike. Not riding road anymore, so need to sell the fixie, and will use that to start a build on a hard tail - need something slightly softer for the 'slop' as the 90's bike kills my back (broke it 4 years ago).

GRX Di2 2 by please!

My Reilly Gradient with GRX Di2 X2 and Hunt Carbon Wide 30s arrived 2 weeks ago. Since when I've been ill and the weather has been hideous. But I'm feeling better, and it looks like it won't actually be raining at the weekend, so I might even get to ride it!

Money no object:

Might actually be affordable, as all I would need is the frameset:

Pie in the sky? Something like the Beargrease, but with that new Shimano gearbox doodah and a Lauf fork:

Always the same answer for me a Swarf Contour. Nicest looking bike I’ve ever seen and I’d love to own one someday, but price is beyond me. Looks like the right full suss for a HT lover.

I haven’t really rode an MTB much the past couple of years but just fancy something that’s going to be enjoyable to ride and do everything from trail centres to long days out.

Saw the new purple Solaris Max and decided that’s the bike for me.

It’s currently sitting in the garage, part built, waiting for a new BB tool to finish installing the group set then it’s ready to go. After the past week of torrential rain I may have to put off it’s maiden ride until it dries up a bit 😂

Baines flying gate. Fixed. Had my eye on one from EBay until someone put in a crazy must have it bid right at the end. Trevor Jarvis still makes them. So I’d take a new one I guess. With a barber pole paint job.l on the vertical. Just because. And the questions you get asked.

Or a Paris Galibier. Again, just because.

Orbea occam if you want to pedal it under your own power.

If not, some massive travel ebike.

But buy the occam so when you get bored of it you can sell it me 😁

I have virtually all variant of road bike covered except TT bike, but next bike really needs to be fast light 29er full suss, lower back needs nursing from now till retirement so need some assistance! Might just bung a suss seatpost on Superfly in the meantime.

Could also go a custom gravel frame, alloy not an option but normal steel too heavy for my liking, so maybe Rourke 953 or Ti (ha, will never afford it).

I've long wanted but not needed a Pedersen, so let's go with that. Or a CHPT3 Brompton.

Despite thinking its a bit ugly that new Pace RC295 is growing on me more and more. I'd be able to bike around and shout YORKSHIRE!..... well, more than most of us do already.

I have a real hankering after the new Radon Render (Reindeer) ebike. In the top model with it's Sram AXS and 220mm magura brakes, of course.

[img] [/img]

£5700 for all that is a massive bargain.

Always hankered over something with a Lefty fork.

And a full-sus fatbike.

I guess that could be one and the same 🙂

Not full sus, but I was sorely tempted by the Fat Caad. Then they stopped importing it 🙁
