Got a set of Penthouse pedals and Mk2 service kit, I'm a bit confused, and have a couple of questions (four in fact);
1. What's the difference between Mk1 and Mk2 pedals?
2. How do you know which you have?
3. Does anyone know where I can find assembly diagrams / parts list for these pedals?
4. What's the best method to get the old bushings out?
Any help much appreciated,
Cheers,
bigdonx
I think Mk1's were a square platform, pins screwed in from top.
Mk2's are offset parallelogram shaped, pins mount from underside.
Bushings should push out with small flatnose screwdriver.
CRC does rebuild kits for £18

Cheers guys, sounds like I have Mk2s then.
But the replacement bushings, from the CRC Mk2 kit, do not seem to be as "snug" on the axle shaft - quite a bit of daylight between. This puzzles/concerns me.
Maybe this is how they should be, but it would seem to allow much more twisting on the bearings than I would have thought healthy for them.
The old bushings - although now tight, seem to be of a much closer fit.
Any suggestions??
Fit the bushes in the pedals first, before worrying about the tolerances. I've just rebuilt mine and although one of them is fine, the other does have some play but I think that's because the axel itself could be worn. I would check your axela with a vernier or micrometer.
