Anyone ever used these?

The Hope Pro2 on the front of our tandem seems to eat bearings at the rate of a pair every half dozen rides. So it's got to go.

Any other suggestions for bomb proof 20mm 36 hole front hubs?

Burgtec, that's a bit Bling even for you Stu! 😉

Just been having a look, but can't find a DT440 hub in 36 hole for anything other than SILLY money (as in more than a Chris King even!), such is the price hike on DT stuff recently.

The Sun Ringle Abbah might be worth a look though. Heard good things of their quality, looks plenty sturdily built, and priced quite well on CRC.

Cheers for the ride again today mate.

I previously used Hope Bulb on all my bikes but my attempt to use Hope Pro II has resulted in cracked hubs and bearing replacements every 2-3 months...I've had a year out my Burgtec's without complaint...20 mm front and 12 mm rear...my other bike uses both Mavic and Chris King without problem..it may be extra money but they last and are reliable....plus they do look good 🙂

I do! Lovely Disco Cameo front on my 456SE. Light, smooth, quality. Makes Pro2 feel industrial. One day I'll get the rear too.

mboy. Anytime mate.
Really only looking for a front and the back's no good to me as the tandems a 145mm rear end.
Looks like the Burgtec'll do nicely then. 😀

Do you fancy an used Aireal DH (20mm bolt thru)? Mine is a spare not needed anymore.
