Budget steel coil spring stem shock

Looking for something similar, I found this elastomer equipped (lighter, but more expensive option dated 2018):

I saw this steel coil spring product on local social media today, and found the shopping listing:

Personally, I think elastomers have some effect in the rebound area, and this steel spring, undamped unit is going to make you look like you're riding a clown bike as it bounces up and down, up and down. Also, it's heavy. Although at £23.50 I think it's going to grab a fair few customers who put it on, test ride it, then take it back off again!

There's still a viable option for a ludicrously expensive, genuine, damped gravel bike front suspension.

Quite like that. But I remember flexstems first time round, I was there Gandalf, 3000 years ago, when they sorta kinda worked a bit til the elastomer shrank, which happened pretty much instantly, and after that you just had handlebars which weren't really connected to the bike. Luckily someone invented the suspension fork.
