Looking for a budget light to go in the helmet. But there does not seem.much out there at the 50 quid range. Ideally all in one with a usb charger. Did the whole torch and 18650 batteries and got fed up with it. Happy for a rechargeable torch that would fit in an exposure mount. So any ideas? Cheers

i use the chilli tech pod
https://chilli-tech.com/content/new-800-lumens-cree-head-torch-launch/. its great as there are no cables.

i just turn the head torch on when i need it ratheer than leaving it on all the time. it did a 2hr ride in twisty singletrack the other night. Its not spotty so a decent light spread. I carry a second battery just in case.

Its cheap (really cheap!) and works perfect for me with a Halfrauds bar light (on one of the lower settings to work with the headlight). on flat out lakes rocky gnar it may be a bit underpowered so it depends on what you need i suppose.

Thanks. Will take a look at the ones above. The chilli ones looks cheap. Does it come with the helmet mount included? And is it stable?

+1 for the Moon Vortex Pro, or whatever the current model is. My one came with a helmet mount, but I actually mount it with a velcro strap and a lump of Sugru.

There's also the cheaper Moon Vortex:

https://www.merlincycles.com/moon-meteor-vortex-rechargeable-front-bike-light-2020-206202.html

That's now up to 1000 lumens which should be plenty. Mine is 900 or something, and I never use it in that mode.

I've got quite a few Moon lights, and they've all proven very reliable. The only thing that's ever broken was a mount for a rear light, and they sent me a free replacement. A nice middle ground between the Exposure premium and unbranded tat.

I have just bought a Niterider 1200 lumen - a touch more, but they have 800 and 1000 for less. It seems very good and very well made.

I bought one of these - https://www.lightmalls.com/cycling-light-bike-front-headlight-2x-cree-xpg-led-bicycle-light-built-in-18650-battery-usb-rechargable-waterproof

Then I bought a Moon Go Pro mount (RB28 is the correct version) - https://winstanleysbikes.co.uk/moon-light-adapter-for-gopro-mount?gclid=Cj0KCQiA-rj9BRCAARIsANB_4ACXrDemo31jnpstAO9MPJQvlPPITrGnme4XqZgtkR7hJdjF0rsjOV8aAtFREALw_wcB

and stuck it on my helmet with Go Pro sticky bits and it's great. Job done for around £30. Lightweight, good spot type light, good run times.

Can anyone suggest a good go pro helmet mount?

The niterider looks good but you cannot seem to buy a helmet mount?

I also have a Gloworm X1 going spare if you can live with a battery pack.
