Being a bit lazy here but...have a mate who wants to build a steel all rounder, bfe, 456, blue pig etc etc but already has a tapered fork and doesn't want to change. What options are out there, he is on a budget and doesn't mind used but looking ay about £150.

Dartmoor Hornet new from www.slam69.co.uk . Not steel but proper good value. I built one up with 140mm and it seams spot on.

*Note - this is STW; there are very questions about cheap secondhand hardtail frames to which the answer is not "Mmmbop" (and with very good reason).
Current generation BFes and Blue Pigs will take a tapered fork so you can add those back to the list. Those are the only steel ones, off the top of my head, that you might be able to find 2nd-hand for that kind of budget. If you're lucky.
Cheers, I know he likes the Blue Pig, looks like he needs to keep an eye out. I think it would be hard to find a new gen BFE even at £200!?
