What're these Rockshox Dart like, for £100 ish? What else is there that's super cheap, and what improvement do you get for a few more notes?

for +£25 (@CRC) Id look at the Toras over the Darts.

Stay away from Manitou Axels 🙂

'course, the other approach, is spend less than £100 on good quality carbonb rigid forks and a fat front tyre.

Darts are just a bit crap really. Not very sensitive, don't last long.

Get some Toras, maybe secondhand. They actually move on the small stuff and have proper damping.

wouldn't bother at £100,
second hand all the way,

i got a pair of 2007 manitou r7s platinums for £80 incl p+p,
absolutely pristine,
there are bargains out there, but you have to keep your eye out,
and ebay can be dangerous sometimes 🙂

otherwise put up a wtd advert, i bet you'll find there are lots of folk with forks to sell, £100 is a decent amount,
im sure you find better than a tora for that money

I'll be looking to replace my Dart's with some MX Comps. They look like a good second hand fork.

I've not really had many issues with them, but they are a little dull in reacting.

Yeah, secondhand Toras would be a good bet. Got some on a bike I bought secondhand recently and was very impressed.

I'll be putting them on ebay soon, but email me (in profile) if you're interested, not expecting £100 for them.
