Quite like the look of these

I know saddles are a personal choice, but is anyone using one? Would be used on the Slate.
Cheers

C15; no problems; comfortable.
Can't comment on the C17 or C13 or 'carved' versions.

I have a leather B17. Occasionally I think I've killed it, but it just keeps on. No "breaking in" period was required either.

I've seen too many reports of broken Cambiums to ever consider buying one.

Cheer's Frank. Do they have a bedding in period. Its the C17 I really like.
Edit...Scotroutes, where are they breaking?

They're nice looking..I was tempted but picked one up the other day in Leisure Lakes and ooh, I thought, that's quite heavy, is what I thought.

Breakages behind the "nose" seem to be common but there are other faults too (creaks, rivets pulling out etc) There's a thread on the Bearbones forum covering some of them.

I have a leather b17 and a cambium c15. Both are v comfortable. There have been issues with cambium, but brookes just swap the covers for you and are lovely peoplecto deal with!

Love my leather saddle on my touring road bike and really love my cambium on my carbon road bike, kills the road buzz and the numb nuts I used to get!

I like them too, 15's narrower than 17 obvs, but works better offroad for me.
B17 on the audax bike for all day loveliness.

If you get on with San Marco Rolls, or the old Flite saddles the C15 might work for you. Old wider Turbos might suggest a 17 imho.

Also just remembered that Spa Cysles do Wharfe, Nidd and Aire but that's equivalents to the leather Brooks-es. Dunno about longevity of the Spa ones.

The B17s no doubt have their place, but those Cambiums seem very heavy and expensive comapred to the competition. Obviously they appeal to middle class middle aged British men due to the name and the marketing, but for any normal person, you may aswell buy something lighter and cheaper. Specialized/Fizik/Fabric/Selle Italia/San Marco/Prologo/Bontrager etc. the list is almost endless.

I’ve had a c15 on a croix de fer which was comfy up to 80miles, a b17 on my genesis vagabond which is bar far the comfiest saddle I’ve ever perched upon, just put a c17 on my Rourke audax cos thought it looked cool which is very nice but already considering changing it for the armchair feel of the b17. All good though, great quality and feel with that modern heritage vibe

C17 on two bikes and a wide C13 on another. I find them comfy and that's what mattered. Not done more than an imperial century in one go on one but that was ok.
One of the C17s creaked like **** when it was on my Ti Burls but as soon as it went on another bike it was peachy and has been ever since.

I've two C17 saddles and a B17.

I much prefer the C17 saddles - I realise its all down to personal preference but ...... I find the C17 uber comfy. I have one on my fat bike and one on my 29plus "longer rides" bike. Neither are light bikes to begin with so the choice of sale just sticks with the theme.

One of mine creaks like you wouldn't believe but after hours of therapy and the use of ear plugs you CAN block it out ......

I love my B17, got about a thousands miles on it after buying it maybe 4/5th hand on eBay. Took a bit to get my bum used to it but now it's grand.

I'm also thinking about getting a Cambium, maybe the carved, but worried it won't be as comfy as the B17. In case you're close to London, I believe you can rent a Brooks to try for £30 if that helps at the Brooks store http://www.b1866.com

As much as the leather ones don't technically need broken in.

Thy do begin to feel much much better after about 5-700 miles when the little dimples form and the saddles sorta moulded to your arse

- got 2 b17 and a ti swift. The swift took along time to break in and was not nearly as immediately comfy as the b17s were.

I’ve ridden several hundred hours on c15 carved and a narrow c13.

I like the cut out tbh. Eases a bit of pressure but does allow a bit more flex, which may be good or not.

I found they do bed in a little, becoming a bit more supple and flexible after some use.

I loved the C17 on my Singular Kite. 200km rides and you still wouldn’t notice it.
It did start tc crack on the nose, but replaced under warranty no worries.
Only issue is they do wear out your jeans.

C17 carved here, just made a 1100km trip

comfy and bumpy

the back plate doesn't play nice with saddle bags

the fabric doesn't last long

overpriced

I have ti B17s on two bikes, both done similar mileage, both comfy from the off, no break in required for me.
Previously used a cube ‘ready for race’ saddle and a charge spoon (both very similar) with no issues.

I have the Brooks 17 Copper on my Singular Swift.
The type of bike I’ve always wanted, for what I want it to do, and it had to have a leather traditional Brooks on it.
Uncomfortable for the first few rides, but it soon broke in and now it is very comfy.
My other bikes have super lightweight ( and very comfortable) Fizik seats, but this bike needed Brooks and I’m very happy with it.
I looked at the Cambian range, they look very nice and if they were made out of leather would have got one.

Love my Team Pro. Most comfy saddle ever.
The Cambium ones look scruffy after a bit of use from what I have seen.
