[#6842608]

So today I became a proud owner of a Bronson CC.

However the decals on the frame say Bronson c.

The lbs says that both the frames (c and cc) say Bronson c on it.

Can any other Bronson cc owners verify this and is there anything else on the frame which could distinguish between the c and cc. I understand that the c is only available as a full bike which gives me some comfort but this still all strikes me as odd.

Thanks

Is the CC the more expensive one?

Yes, both versions of any Santa Cruz frames say C on them.
Remove the rear wheel & look in the brace between the chainstays, as it'll have number followed by either C or CC-it's the only way you can tell.

Is it lighter/stronger? What is different in the carbon?

http://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en/us/about-our-carbon

Different grade of carbon used, slightly heavier etc.
I haven't looked into the details for SC, but I'm guessing along the lines of Toray's T800/900/1000 grades etc. different prices as some are harder to work with, heavier etc. all affecting the price

I have a bronson 2015 cc carbon frame. It does indeed say bronson c on it but as it was bought frame only it has to be the cc option.

The Bronson came out before the cheaper version became available. So surely the first 'batch' of high-grade frames would simply be called Bronson C?

I have a nomad it doesn't have a C or a CC on the number-if I sold it it would make proving that it's not the cheaper version a bit tricky!
