Getting a Bronson 2 to replace my Large Bronson 1. However I'm 5'8 and going of the SC Fitting guide I should be on a medium. When I got the old one I rode a medium and a large and the large was a much better fit for me. However I know they have changed the geo and tube lengths on the 2. So quick poll please... if you have a Bronson 2 can you say your height and what size frame you went for ?

Many thanks.

A mate with one suggested going larger as the stand over is fine but the reach is nicer, it's about 1" longer too in the top tube. 5'9 and on the line between M/L As with all these things I'd really say try before you buy SC do heaps of demo's

Had a go on a medium one and whilst it wasn't as poor a fit as the medium Bronny 1, it did still feel a little short. I suspect the Large will probably feel a little big so was just canvassing opinions on what others had gone for.

Cheers.

I'm 5'8 and have a medium. Large would be way to big in my opinion. The extra length in top tube is definitely noticeable even with a 35mm stem

Im 5'9" on a large 5010 v2 with a 40mm stem. I have had a Bronson and a Nomad in medium and now a large 5010 V2 and the 5010 is the best fit out of all 3.

I'm 6'1" and ride a large Bronson 2. I would say I'm about as tall as you'd want to be on a a large unless you have a preference for smaller bikes. I did try the XL too, but for me the XL felt too long.

It's a very personal thing though, you probably want to at least sit on both sizes.

i'm the same height as you OP and i've ridden a large Bronson...felt weird to me. the owner of that said bike is about 5'10" he liked it for a while but then realised it felt a bit big on the descents. so he sold it and got a medium.
as for comparison i've ridden the medium and large together and the medium felt much better

I know what you mean Gonzy... I'll see if I can find a Large to throw my leg over, but I'm thinking a medium this time with the new top tube length.

Thanks all.

My missus is 5'7 and on a medium Bronson 2. The large would be too big for her.

You'll probably fit on both fine. I'd be thinking more about where and what riding you do. Bug sweeping open, fast, flat out descents where you run out of gears going downhill? Large.

Tighter, twisty trails, that aren't 90% balls out fast? Medium.

A mate has one, slightly short than me,I'd say about 6 foot, he's on a large

I had a spin round the carpark and would say it's a smaller large, nowhere near as big as my large Airdrop, at 6'2" I'd be looking at an XL probably if I wanted/could afford a SC

6'1" and went for XL, definitely the right decision - I wouldn't rule out going up a size even with the lengthened geometry.
