Hi all
I have a nickel edition s6l waiting for my c2w voucher to arrive. A collective question is what bag people recommend. Looking at the Ortlieb I bag or the carradice city m bag as I often travel to London and need a bag big enough for overnight clothes and laptop

Any experience or indeed recommendations for a bag with s bars.

I have a Carradice City Folder M which is big enough to get laptop, clothes, other stuff in it just fits a S Brompton. It also has fastex buckles rather than those stupid post and hole straps.

Whatever you get, make sure it is waterproof.

I have a nylon T bag (from years ago) and I've wrecked so much stuff after getting caught in rain showers.

I have a C bag on mine, this model,

I've rarely used the waterproof cover, as it's well proofed anyway. Nice to have, though. Big enough for a change of clothes, travel wash kit, laptop cables, etc.

Well done on finding a nickel one! I'm after a nickel S2L but the only one I've found so far is in Newcastle, whilst I'm in Oxford/London. (Brompton dealers aren't allowed to post.)

T bag here, goes massive and has a cover.

IIRC the Ortleib is significantly smaller. The C bag is tiny in comparison to what you can stuff in a T.

I looked at this last Summer as wanted a front mounted bag to replace my backpack on hot days as was too sweaty and also to increase bag space for travelling - with backpack and front mounted bag. Wanted a T bag but technically its not recommended for S Type bars as it fouls the brake cables and makes turning the handlebars an issue. I vacillated for ages then was up in London and went into Brompton and checked it out and I had to agree with Brampton’s advice so went for C bag which is actually pretty large for commuting and very high quality.

I've got an ortlieb o bag and it's not big enough for a change of clothes. I get headphones, drink, snacks, laptop and waterproof jacket in mine and it's full to the brim.
